I met a friend for lunch here today. When we arrived there was plenty of parking and the restaurant was not busy. This was not our first visit. Dan was our very attentive waiter. We ordered the delicious waffles, mac and cheese, oxtail tacos, and oxtails with creamy grits. We were given extra oxtails because the original serving had quite a few bones. Overall we had an excellent dining experience.
This is my 2nd time here. The first time we came was during brunch on a weekend so there was a wait so by the time the food came we got straight to it and I forgot to take pictures. The 2nd time around we came on a Friday around brunch time as well. No wait so i remembered to take pictures before diving in. The food was plentiful and delicious both times. I believe I got the lobster with waffles the first time and this time I got the Sticky wings with pancakes and my sister got the Banana French toast with sausage and a side of eggs. The wings were really good and flavorful with the right amount of crispy. My sister’s French toast was very tasteful with the sauce they layered around it. The interior & decorating of the restaurant is very pretty with really nice wall art/mirrors and chandeliers. There’s a bar that you can sit at from inside and outside. The outside seating section is still covered which is nice. Definitely recommend this breakfast, brunch, lunch spot for great wand vibes. The menu selection is big with unique items that you may not find at other restaurant.
Breakfast for 2 We approached the restaurant and noticed a large shared parking lot. We quickly found a spot and headed over. We walked in and were greeted warmly at the door. When the hostess asked if we had a reservation, we said no. She paused briefly to check availability, and before she could respond, we decided to head over to the bar area instead of a table. She said that would not be a problem and we were led over to the counter. A few minutes later, I asked how long the wait for a table would have been if we waited. She said it would only be about 10 - 15 minutes and offered to switch us over once one opened up. I told her we were happy staying at the bar, I was just curious. We also noticed there is an online waitlist to help with seating when things get a little busier. The staff behind the counter was quick to bring us menus and take our drink order. Wifey ordered an orange juice and a coffee, while I kept it simple with just a coffee. He put in our drink order as we reviewed the huge menu. Plenty of good options to choose from. I decided on the Bananas Foster French Toast with bacon, and Wifey went with the Veggie Omelet with no mushrooms. I checked out the place while waiting for our food. The main dining area was dimly lit, and I noticed another counter across from ours with similar seating. I also noticed they had additional seating in their outside covered patio area. The food came out super fast and looked and tasted great. Wifey and I swapped a corner of our dishes and everything was delicious. Everybody we came in contact with was very friendly, and the entire place was spotless. Overall, an excellent first visit to Just Brunch. If you’re in the Duluth area, definitely stop by this Black-owned restaurant for breakfast to get your day started right. As we left, we noticed more people waiting out front, so try to get there as early as you can.
I love this place; the atmosphere was really nice, and I admired the decor. The wait time was quite long, but you can make reservations online—something I wish I had done earlier. The food was delicious, but it wasn’t hot—just warm. I ordered the oxtail tacos and considered sending them back, but since it was an hour before closing, I decided to keep them. I also had the catfish with shrimp and grits, which was warm, but the gravy tasted almost burnt. I believe the food would’ve been better if I had arrived earlier. Ideally, when serving customers, consistency throughout the day is important. The manager, Mr. Waymond, was very kind. I didn’t mention these issues to him because it was near closing time, and I didn’t want to bother him. I plan to return soon, preferably earlier in the day. Overall, I’d rate this place an 8.5 out of 10.
We just beat the Sunday brunch rush. There is definitely a rush, so come early. This place is no secret, but IYKYK. Good vibes and great food. I didn’t realize this establishment was part of a brand we already patronize. No wonder it didn’t disappoint. I got the Cone’Waffle Stack with the Korean fried chicken and collard greens on a cornbread waffle. It come with (2) stacks, but I could only eat one for this sitting. However, it was flavorful and the maple syrup and cinnamon butter enhanced the entire plate. A must-try in my opinion and I don’t care for chicken and waffles like that. My wife got the blueberry pancakes and a chicken sausage. She was happy with both. The blueberry pancakes had crispy edges and were fluffy. The staff was friendly and the establishment is very clean. The aesthetics were not overdone. It was definitely a perfect spot to spend a birthday brunch.
I went to brunch here with my girlfriends, and overall it was a great experience! On weekends, it’s best to arrive early — we got there around 10 AM and didn’t have to wait, but by the time we left, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. Be aware they won’t seat you until your entire party has arrived. There’s also a 2-hour seating minimum, and a 20% gratuity is automatically included. The vibes and atmosphere were spot-on — lively, upbeat music and a fun brunch energy. Our food came out in a reasonable time. I ordered the lobster and waffles, which were good, though the fried lobster could have used a bit more seasoning for extra flavor. The strawberry lemonade was delicious and refreshing. All in all, I’d definitely visit again for the great atmosphere and solid brunch menu.
